His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics speaking at the Logistics Integration Forum 2024
The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Dr. Rami bin Mohammed Al-Rami, Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics and Acting President of the General Authority for Transport, will participate in the Logistics Integration Forum 2024 organized by the Asharqia Chamber under the patronage and honor of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Prince of the Eastern Province, on Monday, April 29, 2024. Also in attendance will be His Excellency Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics, at the Chamber's headquarters.
Badr bin Sulaiman Al-Ruzzaiza, The Chairman of the Asharqia Chamber's Board of Directors, stated that Dr. Al-Rami's participation is a significant addition to the forum. He will speak in the first session under the title "Logistics Regions in the Eastern Province and the Key Challenges with Relevant Authorities."
Al-Ruzaiza explained that the meeting of officials and experts in the forum achieves several objectives, including improving and developing the mechanism of work in the sector, enhancing the efficiency and quality of operations, and achieving a competitive advantage for companies. He noted that the forum comes at a time when the logistics sector in the Kingdom is witnessing significant consecutive achievements in line with the plans and capabilities that keep pace with the aspirations of Vision 2030. Many entities have automated numerous procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in logistics operations, enhance inventory management systems to achieve a balance between material availability and inventory costs, and improve transportation and distribution operations through the use of smart routing technologies.
The forum aims to enhance logistical integration among all relevant entities to improve supply chain efficiency in the Kingdom. It also serves as a platform for experts and professionals in the field to communicate with officials from entities responsible for developing the logistics sector, to review innovations, and identify best practices and solutions in the sector.
